Courage

One of my favorite verses in the Bible is Isaiah 41:10.  The first part of the verse says, “Do not fear, for I am with you;”.  This is the Lord God speaking, and it’s a command.  He commands His people to not fear.  I call it an “encouragement command.”  Like all His commands, it’s good and healthy.

The reason we don’t have to be afraid is because He says He is with us, and everything He says is true and trustworthy.  He sticks to His Word.  Therefore, we can count on it.  He is with us in whatever we face, whatever the circumstances, whatever the conflict, whatever the confrontation, whatever the difficulty.

The Lord God Almighty, with all His power and wisdom and love is with us through it all and all the way through it.  Therefore, don’t let fear get the best of you.
