Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Col 3:16

For the fountain of life is with You (Lord); In Your light we see light. Psa 36:9

God’s Word lights our way. Through His Word He leads us.  He shows us which way to go, what choice to make, what path to choose.

When we let the word of Christ “richly dwell” within us, meaning we have an abundance of the words of Christ continually present within us, we’re able to see the direction to take. He gives light to our paths.

To have His Word dwelling within us, requires wise teaching, counsel, exhortation, and guidance. The origin of the Greek word for “admonishing” literally means “to put in mind.” We need God’s Word on our minds all the time. The Bible tells us that God’s Word is not only taught through speech but also through music. Using both mediums causes God’s truth to stick with us and transform our thinking and behavior.

I hope my reflections on God’s Word and the music I’ve written will both be an encouragement to you and will strengthen your faith in the Lord and His Word.
